Job Description

Position Overview

Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, the Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical communications plans designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. Our Director of Marketing will build a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing department that builds brand awareness and reputation, provides a steady flow of sales leads, and measures the return on marketing program investments. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have impeccable communication and leadership skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan.

  • Implement strategic plan with assistance of project managers/stakeholders.

  • Manage marketing budget for all staffing, resources, and capital purchases.

  • Evaluate new media technologies.

  • Manage the creation of all marketing collateral and sales support tools.

  • Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign results.

  • Enhance CRM processes and technologies.

  • Perform market segmentation, targeting and positioning for each product line.

  • Conduct research and evaluation of vendor solutions and manage relationships.

  • Work directly with Sales and channel partners to support their efforts.

  • Manage and motivate team of highly skilled sales and marketing professionals

  • Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, developments and best practices.

 

What you will bring to the role

  • A high performer with an engaging, adaptable and goal-oriented personality.

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics or related field

  • 8 or more years of management & leadership experience in Marketing and Analytics/ Product Strategy and/or Business Development

  • Ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise and persuasively communicate with product, marketing and other functional area heads in face-to-face scenarios demonstrating real-time insight, flexibility and sound judgment

  • Strong analytical and insight-driven problem-solving skills with the ability to pursue consultative client engagements to drive business growth

  • Independence, initiative, business acumen and excellent verbal, story-telling written communication and negotiation skills

  • Business maturity, strong leadership and listening skills with the ability to analyze input from customers, partners, company associates, market and environmental trends, to identify and clearly articulate needs and opportunities for growth

  • Program management with the ability to lead the development of business pipeline and effectively coordinate internal resources and teams to maximize business conversion

  • Experience working in a matrix environment is preferred, and collaborating across teams and functions is a critical task for this position

  • Sound working knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Office with exceptional presentation skills

  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time and perform other duties as assigned
